I was a bit confused until I hunted around that thread. Perhaps you should throw up the link for the original comment in addition to the reply-to-the-reply. It was a mind-numbingly dumb comment (right up there with a "Federal Reasonable Profits Board"). And to think someone with that critical thinking ability might have "M.D." after their name! Yikes...

Don't worry, once most of those pre-meds get into medical school, they'll drop the "I'd be happy with just $75K/year" charade that none of them believe. It's not just about the money - it's about wanting to be paid what you're worth. Nurses make $75K/year without much effort, so for a physician to get paid the same with vastly more effort is straight-up demeaning and insulting.
