    If you people had any smarts at all you would realize this is probably an ADA issue.

    Often times 'workout' places are used for rehab workouts.

    Then put in a ramp, not an escaltor. A ramp makes perfect sense.

    The ADA comment doesn't fly. If that were true, you'd see escalator companies being as big as Google with all the buildings they'd have to install for and service.

    Like the previous commenter said, they're called ramps, and they're everywhere.

    Ramps would fail for wheelchairs at that grade. However, they might make ambulatory folks use the stairs!

    No, a ramp would not fail, you just have to make them go horizontally, like a zig zag type pattern, that's what was at my middle school back in the day.
